The Rocketeer by Darwin Motorcycles

Oklahoma City is the place where the magic that is Darwin Motorcycles takes place. Led by founder Dar Holdsworth, the guy with the dream and desire to build bikes.

The Rocketeer was originally built for Iron Works to give away to a very lucky winner, however when completed it headed to Sturgis where it took out 4th place at the 2010 AMD World Championships – production class. The Rocketeer is a homage to the pulp heroes of the 1930’s and 1940’s. First appearing in 1982 the Rocketeer was a superhero character created by Dave Stephens, from a comic to a movie and finally a Custom Production Bobber.

The Rocketeer features a Crazy Horse 100″ engine with a 5-speed transmission, an open primary belt drive and a beautiful 2 into 1 ceramic coated D&D exhaust system. The skeleton of the Rocketeer is a rigid frame with a 40-degree rake and 1″ stretch.

The bike also has a stunning 41mm Meanstreet front end, a set of 16-inch wheels wrapped with Metzier black tires. Perfect for performance braking are the 4 piston Willwood performance front and rear brakes . The powder-coated inverted drag bars have Leroy Thompson grips and a very nice Brass Balls Bobbers leather solo seat.

What we love about this bike is the hand fabricated gas tank and rear fender with the elegant illustrated paint job by Underground Studios which gives the Rocketeer a pulp fiction theme.

The Rocketeer has a base price of $21,995 USD before customization.
