You already know we are big fans of Jay LaRossa’s work, so here it is another one of his creations to roll out of the Lossa Engineering garage a 1977 Honda CB550.
Built for a customer, Jay needed to do a little persuasion to get the customer to agree to a gold frame instead of black. Giving the bike a prestigious look this was a wise choice if you ask us!
The Honda CB550 frame was de tabbed and hooped. The engine was painted black with gloss engine covers and the bike was fitted with a 4 into 1 exhaust. The original Honda CB550 tank received smooth knee dents and was painted in gloss black with Gold Honda decal. The battery was relocated and the entire bike was wired from scratch. This Café Racer rolls on powder coated wheels wrapped in 110/130 Challenger tires with braided stainless steel brake lines.
The Honda CB550 Café Racer features a few custom Lossa parts including; a custom seat with passenger seat option/seat cowl, custom Lossa Speedo gauge face, Lossa brand cafe bars and custom pegs.
This is another fantastic example of the work from Lossa Engineering. Launch the photo gallery and take a look at this bike up close!
