As you all know we are huge fans of DP Customs and we were very excited to feature this beauty, introducing their latest build the custom Harley Ironhead aka ‘Naked Cafe’. For this bike most of the design influence was thanks to one half of the DP Customs partnership Jarrod Del Prado.

What we love about DP Customs is they have a specialty but they don’t just build the same looking bikes time after time, when comparing this Cafe Racer with their previous build the ‘Look Right’ you can see their versatility and just what these guys are capable of doing with an Harley Ironhead!

Le MansAs mentioned the ‘Naked Cafe’ is based on a classic 1980 Harley Ironhead with a 1000cc engine. For fans of Le Mans you may notice some similarities to the 2011 winning car, #2 Audi R18 TDI where the guys say they got some design ideas. To open up the frame most of the electrical components are hidden. The lines of the bike were designed to follow the angular style of a vintage Maico gas tank, even the oil tank is sharp and angular. The bike features DP Customs own Quantum-port symmetrical exhaust, and rolls on Pirelli tires. As with any build of this kind the hours spent are countless.

Naked Cafe Racer DP customsIn DP Customs own words “Our goal was to create a clean, uncluttered, lightweight racer and we nailed it. The custom Harley Ironhead  is fast, lightweight and handles really well. This is one of the best riding bikes we’ve turned out yet!”

This custom Harley Ironhead was for sale but a nice looking machine like this was never going to last long. According to their website it has already found a new owner. It is still worthwhile to check out DP Customs or give the guys a call see what else they may have on offer – 480-338-1458
