Steel Bent Customs have done it again with their latest bike ‘Clockwork Orange’ a Honda CB550 Super Sport. This bike has just been sold on eBay so should be heading to the new owner soon.

As the guys say a few things to remember if you are thinking a Steel Bent Customs bike might be for you. The bikes are typically 35+ years old and as such will need periodic attention. You must be comfortable with changing your own oil, replacing spark plugs, dropping a float bowl to clean out a carb or at least have a local motorcycle shop who can help you.

1976 Honda CB CB550 Super Sport Steel Bent Customs 3If you are comfortable around a fossil fueled engine then these are the guys for you. You will usually find the bikes for sale on eBay when finished and they have a really quick turn around time. This one just sold for $4800 USD and we imagine they have already started on the next bike.

About ‘Clockwork Orange’ it is based on a 1976 Honda CB550 Super Sport. The original orange color was kept on the bike to keep the original classy look. The carburetors were rebuilt with polished velocity stacks. The frame was welded and reinforced and painted in the same color as the engine to match the theme. Fitted with a 4 into 1 chrome modified exhaust and fiberglass seat cowl with customs seat.

This custom Honda CB550 Super Sport features Clubman handlebars, full turn signals, new chain, new rear-sets and linkage. The bike was completely rewired from scratch and a new battery was installed. This Cafe Racer looks very neat and minimalist, its great to see that Micheal has kept the originality of this 1976 Honda CB550 Super Sport.
