True Story of 4 BUB Motorcycle Speed Trial Racers

Press Release: Bellingham, WA: The world premiere of P51 Pictures’ feature film Out of Nothing will be held May 17th at 8pm at the Mt. Baker Theatre in Bellingham, WA.

The film, from Producers Ryan Stiles & Andrew Lahmann and Director Chad DeRosa, is the inspiring true story of four men who set out to conquer land speed records on the Bonneville Salt Flats. It is the first local production to boast such a large-scale public premiere.

DeRosa, whose photography has been published in Hot Bike and The Horse-Backstreet Choppers, has ventured into film before. His first film, Ripped Wide Open III, was released worldwide in 2004. DeRosa teamed up with Lahmann and Stiles last year to help bring this incredible story to the big screen.

Out of Nothing, a feature-length documentary, follows brothers Mark & Carl Bjorklund from Bellingham, WA, as they team up with friends Jason Omer & Bill Woods in order to overcome nearly impossible odds. They must work together as they battle a gauntlet of mounting obstacles such as finances, family issues, anxiety disorder, in-team conflict, severe weather, and hundreds of other racers… all while attempting to set records at breakneck speeds on homemade machines. Their extraordinary journey will remind you how perseverance against all odds can send the most unlikely men roaring into glory.

Doors to the Mt. Baker will open at 6:30 pm giving audience members a chance to mingle with cast & crew during the red-carpet event. In addition, the central motorcycles from the film will be on display in the lobby. “It’s not just a film for gear heads, it’s a universal story about achieving your dreams. Though there are plenty of action packed racing sequences for the motorcycle crowd,” said DeRosa.

P-51 Pictures is a feature film production company, founded by Andrew Lahmann and Colin Dalvit, based out of Bellingham, WA. The P-51 team celebrated a win for People’s Choice Award at the ACR Film Festival in Atlanta upon its first year as an organization in 2003 for the documentary, An Honorable Calling, and officially became a business in 2009.
