Many motorcycle manufacturers look in the past for design inspiration. The Japanese manufactured Kawasaki 250tr is a perfect example of vintage influence on a modern bike. This retro styled ‘street scrambler’ is everything we love about vintage bikes.
Kawasaki 250tr is a simple, lightweight and stylish design which blends perfectly with nature. Just when we thought the Kawasaki’s 250tr was the perfect bike, we came across HEIWA Motorcycle’s customized Kawasaki 250TR. Now this bike is what I would love to see at my local Kawasaki dealership, unfortunately creations like these are one-off for a lucky HEIWA customer.
Japanese custom motorbike builder HEIWA Motorcycle don’t need any introduction, their killer custom designed bikes have ruled the heart of custom motorbike lovers. So far whatever these guys have touched has turned into a piece of art and that includes this beautifully customized Kawasaki 250tr.
To begin with the build the stock Kawasaki 250tr was completely stripped down. The modified bike features a seat rail processing custom frame. The stock engine was rebuilt with a new gasket and was fitted with Power air filter and finished off in heat resistant black. The fabrication work includes a custom fuel tank, processing cycle rear fender and a custom battery box.
At the front this custom Kawasaki 250tr features Heiwa’s original 70’s handlebar with Kijima handlebar grip, mini switch and Meter Minis speedometer. A Heiwa’s one-off headlight stay is fitted with a 4.5-inch Betsuraito headlight. At the rear the bike features Kijima round taillight and a custom stitched seat.
The finished HEIWA custom Kawasaki 250tr rolls on Avon sm mk2 tires. The end result is a true vintage looking motorcycle. Many thanks again to Kengo Kimura for always allowing us to feature his motorcycles!
