If it is shiny and red it must go fast right?? Here is the latest from the brothers at DP Customs, ‘DiSalvo’, a full fender hard tail that has the timeless lines of an old WL Model with the soul of a hotrod!
This custom Ironhead is based on a matching numbers 1979 Harley-Davidson Ironhead, the Del Prado brothers were going for a vintage full tendered look and a hardtail. It started as a stock ’79 Ironhead with a swingarm, to begin the build everything was removed and all the reusable parts were restored.
According to Jarrod “What is really cool about this bike is that it’s a sleeper. Beneath the shiny paint, comfy bars and LePara seat is a heavily massaged Ironhead motor. It has been rebuilt from the crank up, with hot cams, ported heads, a Branch intake, and a Mikini carb.”
This vintage looking machine puts 75hp down to the wheel and the bark from the symmetrical fishtails matches the bite. DiSalvo rolls on Avon Speedmaster MK11 front tire and Dunlop Elite 3 back tire.
DiSalvo is finished in ultra bright Porsche red which contrasts really well with the touches of polished aluminum. Out of all of DP Customs bikes there is no other which is more eye grabbing in the bright sun! Our personal favourite is the wrapped up full-length DPC symmetrical exhaust system.
