Just when you thought you have seen all styles of custom bikes here comes MotoHangar’s latest creation Moto 750mh, a custom Honda CB750 completed in a ‘Brat’ style.
Based in Vienna, Virginia MotoHangar specializes in vintage older model Japanese motorcycles and custom Cafe Racers. The shop is owned and operated by restorer, repairer and customizer Pat Jones.
Before we get down to the Pats transformation lets give you a brief history of Honda CB750. First introduced in 1969 the Honda CB750 is recognized as a milestone for Honda’s successful introduction of the transverse, overhead camshaft inline four-cylinder engine. The Honda CB750 is recognized as the four-cylinder sport bike that had a lasting impact and is often called the first superbike.
Now back to Pats transformation, the base for Moto 750mh build was a 1980 stock Honda CB750. As usual the stock bike was stripped down to the frame that was heavily modified to adapt the new Brat style. The stock engine was cleaned up and was fitted with a custom painted aftermarket exhaust system. The front suspension was lowered and preload was added for the correct ride height. To bring the brat style Pat has added a low flat seat and a shortened tail fender. At the front the headlight was tightened and a low-rise bar was added.
This custom Honda CB750 Brat style rolls on brand new dual sport tires. My personal favorite is the bare metal fuel tank, it a leftover and has deep cherry metallic red and cream accents and has been clear coated to protect the finish.
The finished bike looks pretty clean and no surprise it will draw lots of attention. The bike is up for auction on eBay, head over to bid on this beauty yourself!
