H-D Sportster MONKEE #7 | WRENCHMONKEES

Built to ride every day, not to polish: today we take a another dip in the portfolio of the WRENCHMONKEES, Copenhagen.

The Monkee #7 is a combination of Harley and Husqvarna and has the WRENCHMONKEES usual style which makes it a sure fire standout.

Nicholas Bech took the Harley in trade and parked it in a corner of his shop. “When I finally had time to dig it out,” he says, “I realized there was a pretty cool XLCH under all that horrifying brushed-on metallic-burgundy paint.” Pretty much everything but the engine, frame, oil tank and brakes went into the dumpster. And after Googling around the web for inspiration-with more than a few hours spent at www.jockeyjournal.com-the serious Monkee business began.”

The Monkee #7 is loaded with a 900cc stock standard V-twin powerplant, supplied with 48mm S&S Super E Shorty carbs. The bike also features WRENCHMONKEES very own megatron dual exhaust system. A replica of Harley’s bolt-on dirt-track hardtail came from Craig at Front Street Cycle. Holding up the front is the newer Sporty fork, shortened and adjusted to carry the original XLCH front hub. Monkee #7 rolls on Borani style rims with stainless steel spokes wrapped in Pirelli rubber giving this bike a perfect scrambler look. Now for the rear suspension what we have here is a pair of 4-inch sprigs under the solo saddle.

Our favorite part on this motorbike is that European style Husqvarna CR tank; finally some one tried something different, not the usual Sporty peanut tank. The Monkee #7 also has a hand crafted WRENCHMONKEES rear fender, solo saddle, headlight and taillight.
