The aesthetics of the Italian Ducati Sport Classic motorcycle has always enchanted custom motorbike builders across the world. The increased number of custom Ducati’s featured on Moto Rivista just keeps growing!
Today’s feature bike is an elegantly customized Ducati Sport Classic, built by two French custom motorcycle fabricators at FCR. Their passion and desire to build decent and appealing bikes, has lead them to achieve this custom Ducati Sport Classic.
The base for this build was a stock Ducati sport classic biposto. To begin the build the stock bike was stripped down to the frame. The engine was revised and was fitted with a custom exhaust system. The custom exhaust is rolled, tig welded from a stainless steel sheet metal of 8/10mm thinness, all done in house by FCR.
The fabrication work includes a hand-fabricated fuel tank, a hand fabricated rear fairing and the fender. All painted with candy black and gold with a great green olive reflections effect. At the front this custom Ducati Sport Classic features LSL handlebar and Barracuda mirrors. While the rear includes a custom FCR rear light with stay and a custom saddlery seat.
Other parts are from CNC Italia (clutch slave, chain cover, levers, camshaft plate). The finished bike rolls on custom Alpina gold wheels wrapped in Michelin pilot tires. I am glad to see that FCR has kept the classic lines of this bike and given it an elegant transformation.
According to FCR “This bike was sold so quickly and we had some requests after so we want to rebuild another a little different and maybe develop a parts series for this model (like the exhaust)”.
