Their custom Harley has received high praise from custom shows like AMD World Championship and Yokohama’s Hot Rod Custom Show.
The guys at Hidemo have a soft spot for the Sportster; they have to date built 34 custom Sportster bikes. Today we are taking a look at their build no SP-23 a custom Sportster Forty-Eight.
The build of SP-23 (Custom Sportster Forty-Eight) started out as a stock 2011 XL1200X Forty-Eight. To give you a little flashback the Harley-Davidson Sportster is the longest continuously produced motorcycle in the Harley-Davidson bloodline. To begin with the build the bike was stripped down to the frame and was heavily modified. The stock engine was in good condition and was fitted with a Hide Motorcycle air cleaner and oval megaphone muffler.
The fabrication work includes short processing front and rear fender and a one-off beautifully painted gas tank amongst numerous other things. The rear of the bike was dropped with 11 inches short shock. The front and the rear of the bike has been wrapped with firestone tires.
The bike also features a variety of parts from the Hidemo catalog, which includes custom blinker, Hide Motorcycle & IG key cylinder coil bracket, Hide Motorcycle indicator bracket, Hide Motorcycle dropper handle, Hide Motorcycle side tail assy, Hide Motorcycle dropper handle, Hide Motorcycle meter bracket and HDM original S sheet.
