Custom Honda CB450 by Dime City Cycles

Two friends sharing a similar interest and passion for building true vintage motorcycles is how the company Dime City Cycles came to life.

This is a company that is not defined by a single sub-culture or bike style but favours café racers. Based in Florida, Dime City Cycles have been getting wide spread exposure, since their CB450 café racer was aired on the Discovery HD Theater series Café Racer TV.

The Brass Cafe started life as a 1968 Honda CB450; it was completely intact and looked like she hadn’t been run since 1969. When DCC opened up the engine they found an organic life form growing inside one of the valves chambers.

Brass Cafe 3The custom Honda CB450 build started with some serious customization, which included, engine modification with ceramic coated and overbore pistons, ported & polished. DCC used a cafe style tank using a stock 450 tank as a donor, finished touches included black with some gold/brass insets and pin striping to go with the Steampunk looking Brass theme on this bike. Dyna electronic ignition and custom cams, chopped and lowered standard CB450 front fender, Norton Commando mufflers and stepped headers, one-up, hand tooled seat, light with visor, and last but not least that sweet Dime City “Manx” rear end.

“The vision behind The Brass Café is one of purity, both in style and heritage. Dime City will pursue classic forms in metal working, paying respect to the builders of the 50’s and 60’s and what they stood for…and simultaneously hoping to inspire a renewed interest in the motorcycle as the ultimate expression of form and function” The Dime City Crew.

What we love about this café racer is that vintage racer fuel tank, the brass pegs and Jim Goodrich kick pedal. This Brass Café represents everything a classic café racer should have, Comment below and let us know what you think of this bike from Dime City Cycles!
