Andie's 1975 Honda CB360 Custom

This 1975 Honda CB360 is a project bike by Andie, we were lucky to discover this build while browsing the DO THE TON forum.

It took about a year and a half of stop start building, using any chance he got to get it looking good and ridable. Andie’s friend Dan from ‘Some Guy Photography’ took these amazing shots, which really capture the beauty of this bike.

This build is based on two 1975 Honda CB360’s, one was in pretty bad condition and only good for parts. Andie started the build by doing some fabrication, which included smoothing out and welding the back end of the frame. He describes himself as not the best welder/fabricator but based on what he has done it seems he is not giving himself enough credit.

The engine, carb and wheels were cleaned and new ball bearings and seals were installed. Andie mounted the bracket for gauges (stock one upside down) and adapted the bracket for mounting the tail lights and the plate, he also added a neutral light to the headlight bucket. This custom Honda CB360 rolls on 90/90 front and 100/90 rear wheels wrapped in Avon Roadrider tires.

Andie designed a battery box to hold a SLA wheelchair battery and the electricals under the seat. Having no experience in upholstery Andie did a fantastic job with making his own seat, he was lucky to have some family help with a quilter for the stitching and a tool and die maker for the layouts. The engine, frame, swing arm and various other parts were painted by Andie himself in his garage. Our favourite on this custom Honda CB360 is the wrapped pipes and that MC Vintage Mufflers exhaust.

Andie did a lot of the work in his dads garage taking full advantage of his family resources and seeking help from them when ever possible. Coming from a technical background and networking on DO THE TON with like minded individuals really attributed to the success of this project. Andie’s Honda CB360 is currently nominated for the September bike of the month on DO THE TON.
