Today’s feature bike, this custom Sportster might be a disappointment for the bling bling chrome lovers, but man I am in love with the less is more on this beauty.
Hide motorcycle from Japan has continued to deliver their Hidemo style to their custom Sportster bloodline. What we have here is their 37th Custom Sportster aka SP-37.
It’s evident that the Sportster is one of the most desirable motorcycles among young bloods and customizers. The Sportster came to existence in 1957 replacing the Harley-Davidson’s K model flathead motorcycles. Many features were taken out from the K Model to the Sportster, however the Sportster was lighter and narrower ready to compete against the British manufactured Norton, Triumph and BSA motorcycles. Sportster is also the longest running motorcycle model produced to this day, enough on the history lesson lets head over to the build of this beauty.
This custom Sportster also features a one-off Hidemo fuel tank painted in vintage racing style colors. The stock front fender was removed and a new seat with one-off rear fender was added. Looking at the bike you can clearly see that Hidemo has used the less is more mantra very well, they have delivered a great balance in style and design on this custom beauty.
At the front the bike features Hidemo’s original dropper handlebar, brake and a Bates headlight while the rear features Hidemo side tail assy. Hidemo’s custom Sportster rolls on Avon SP M2 front tires and Firestone ANS rear tires.
Other Hidemo parts include blinker assy, key cylinder coil bracket, meter bracket and indicator bracket.
My personal favorite on this Custom Sportster is the orange paint job and that custom exhaust, what’s yours?
